SAO Vojvodina, officially the Serbian Autonomous Oblast of Vojvodina (Serbian: Српска аутономна област Војводина, Hungarian: Szerb Vajdaság autonóm tartomány, Romanian: Sârb regiunea autonomă Voivodina, Slovak: Srbská autonómna oblasť Vojvodina, Rusyn: Сербська автономна область Войводина) is a Serbian Autonomous Oblast of Serbia. Its capital is Novi Sad and the largest city is Temišvar. SAO Vojvodina got its autonomy on 14 May 2013, after the reforms of the administrative divisions in Serbia. SAO Vojvodina annexed western Srem, Baranja, Transdanubia, Southern Great Plain and the area around Temišvar from Croatia and Hungary in 2019, after the Serbian victory in the Central War.
