Bukovina (Russian: Буковина; Romanian: Bucovina), officially the Republic of Bukovina (Russian: Респу́блика Буковина; Romanian: Republica Bucovina) is a country in Eastern and Central Europe. It borders Russia to the northwest, north, and northeast; Moldavia to the southeast; and Romania to the south and southwest. Bukovina is the only European country with two official languages and two major constitutional ethnic groups. Bukovina was formed in August 2011, when the Free Republic of Bukovina and the Republic of Bucovina united into one country.
